Vertigo Season Finale Write-up

Pearl Pirie, an Ottawa poet who read at Vertigo's season finale, has written about the evening, providing some excellent photos and commentary. I picked up Pirie's, been shed bore (Chaudiere 2010), at the reading and was drawn to the book's sonnet series. The sonnets are told from the perspective of different interconnected speakers and the last line of each sonnet supplies the first line of the next poem, making for some surprising connections.
