something i'm trying to figure out. haven't written fiction in a year. i think if i sat down and quit procrastinating i would get more done. last summer, i wrote a story almost every day, and they were all horrible. how do i get out of that? i want to try something different, something real. i want to write more out of real life experiences than imaginary things i know very little about (not that they are mutually exclusive... but for me right now i'm finding this is the case)
thinking of something my friend coby said, (paraphrasing) that ideas in poetry are concentrated, but an idea in a short story can be expanded. explored in a different way, i think, maybe, this will help me have fun with it and stop stressing.
